Amen! Another conundrum: As Illegal substances strategically infiltrated poorer areas, it was fine, contained, while addiction [opiates, etc….] reached epidemic proportions in many communities of color for decades now. Yet, no one seemed to notice. You know…NIMBY!
Lo and behold, as it has seeped into ‘mainstream’, middle class American family systems, and they too, feel its devastating impact, this is now deemed a ‘national crisis’. Go figure!
