more specifically, some of the features include: Notazake Shange the poet, Button Poetry featuring student poetry, bell hooks who was one of my teachers, Arthur Jafa cinematographer, Komozi Woodard one of my professors, James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Marian Wright Edelman, Marley Dias #1000 black girl books activist…
But the GPA also features other cultures thru music, dance, art, there’s mediation stuff too… It’s a place to showcase voices without speaking for them. It’s eclectic but purposeful.

Your lack of responses lead me to believe that I was infringing and you were being sum how polite (if I was not completely misunderstanding what “fine” meant to u.) Which is all unnecessary…
i followed U because you showcased people in a pure way.
I at first distrusted the “black mail” thing when u liked some posts of mine, but then i checked U out and saw the creativity in your presentation…

I would like to find out if we are actually talking…
I have feelings about MLK in “trump” world…
And I feel people are using MLK who knew him… and this is not a day of celebration about the dream, but rather we are in mourning…
I feel people like John Lewis are still fighting for MLK’s dream… but so many around him including his grandson are defaulting to a white jesus… they aren’t willing to say how Trump is a racist. I know Martin feared a backlash too… but so then what is progress?
So… I dunno… if I am helping by featuring you…
I honestly don’t want to use you. And am not sure if you know what I am about enough to consent to me featuring you…

I have no problems with you featuring my blog content. I appreciate your interest. MLK and many other leaders have had their messages cherry picked and sanitized to make it more acceptable. Progress is a journey with no defined destination. Complacency is the enemy off progress for sure.
