Dentist and Entreprenuer, Dr. Catrise L. Austin, (1970 – ) is a native of Flint, MI.   Austin first developed an interest in dentistry when getting braces at age 15. Austin attended the University of Michigan, graduating in 1991 with a B.A. in psychology. She obtained her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Maryland in 1996 and completed her advanced dental training in New York at Brooklyn’s Lutheran Medical Center. Prior to starting her own practice she worked as a dental hygienist. She became the Chief Operating Officer of NYC Cosmetic Dentistry (Formerly VIP Smiles) in 1998. She oversees a thriving dental practice in New York specializing in general, cosmetic and sports dentistry. The practice has many loyal clients which include many celebrities. Dr. Austin has served celebrities such as Cardi B, Toni Braxton, Missy Elliott, and Isaac Hayes, to name a few. She is a sought after dentist in the entertainment industry. Austin’s accomplishments as a dentist and entrepreneur are notable in their own right. In addition, she has overcome both gender and racial boundaries in an industry that is normally male dominated.

Her practice is one of the first to provide onsite and mobile dentistry services that meet the needs of her clientele. She is licensed to provide dental services in New York and California. Dr. Austin harnesses the power of technology, excellent client care, and onsite services to serve her clients in style and luxury. She has been featured on national tv shows such as The Discovery Channel, Today Show, Good Morning America and VH1’s Love and Hip Hop. In 2009, she also became the first private dental practice in the U.S. to offer FREE HIV testing to clients during dental visits. Dr. Austin is a published author of, “5 Steps To The Hollywood A-List Smile”. Dr. Austin is truly taking the world by storm, one smile at a time.
